many players also support all these formats mentioned by metallix- i use jetaudio and it seems to work fine for everything

I really like VLC Media Player, it has all the codecs already installed inside the program. Plus, it can take screenshots!

if you want to put any of these videos on your iPod, i highly recommend Ultra iPod Movie Converter. (see

admittedly, it does cost $29 us, but it works really well and converts pretty much anything. you also get free updates. it's converted everything i've thrown at it and you can leave it converting a batch of files overnight. it's even managed to convert mkv format files with multi-language audi and subtitles (although you have to use an mkv splitter to rip out the subtitle file and then tell the converter programme where to find it).

Hi. No matter what I do, I cannot watch the Basilisk episodes 21, 22 & 24 because of the .mkv format. I was able to download ALL of the other videos with no problems at all. But those 3 are tough ones. I downloaded the codex from this website and I still can't watch anything from those episodes. Any ideas??? I even had my systems totally upgraded and all new programs addede because something from episode 21 caused my computer to freeze and I couldn't even get on my explorer browser for the internet. So, any ideas as to why the .mkv videos will not play??? Thanks for your time, b1uttercup..
