| | well it is possible to check it at least a beat as if those bones would have the same DNA as the Shroud of Turin it could mean sth still I agree that Vatican will try to lower the value of the case as church always was thinking rather about it's own good than about people who believe, religion is a strong power and those who can control it... well it's easy to understand the case. moreover it's impossible to find the concencus between obiective and scientific researches and emotional religious point of view | ||

| | I thought it had already pretty much been providen that the shroud of turin was a fake. It will pretty much be impossible to determine with DNA eveidence if these bones are for real. Who do have to compare the samples to. Some other type of artifact would have ot be found that would identify these remins as Christ's, and even if that evidence was discovered the millions of Christians worldwide would not accept the evidence as proof. | ||

| | if it goes about the Shroud of Turin it was never officially said if it's a real one or made in MiddleAge there could be more researches done but Vatican refuses any requests about it as it could be damaged still it's funny if it's not authentical why they're so against those researches? anyway you're right that people would reject even the very correct proof as most of them could not find themselves in a new situation simply as they believe is based mostly on church word, when you ask average person who declares to be any kind of Christian about gnostic papers they won't even know what you're talking about that's our reality some structures are to old to change at least it takes a lot of time | ||

| | DNA testing the bones is pretty useless most of it would be too degraded. It really depends on the conditions the bones were buried in, but The only chance of getting a profile would be from the femur. theyd have to cut the bone into tiny pieces to a bit that hasnt been handled by humans and any DNA that they do get will probably be mitochondrial, which isn't unique. In the end what you'll have is a bit of paper that says "yep its human (which the physical anhtropologist have already told you), so what?" | ||

| But the point is that you will never know for sure, there will always be that small form of doubt in the back of people's minds. maybe when you die and go to heaven you can ask God there. | |||

| Anime Guru | Except they do not have any DNA from him to compare it to not even from the shroud of Turin as DNA decays thus makeing any on it unusable meaning there is no way to prove it could be. BTW I am Pretty Sure they have already Debunked it as a hoax's Poke me for my Theme Song -> <-Poke me for my Theme Song | ||

| probably, but still DNA testing will only prove that it all came from the same body. We don't have Jesus's DNA on file somewhere. | |||

| | If it was Jesus' bones, then it wouldn't prove anything but that Jesus actually lived, it wouldn't tell us if he really was the son of god or if he was just a guy who died for what he believed in, just that he lived.
