Kaiga Shishou | Yes, but the only reason he got those charges was because he was on trail for infidelity. Last time I checked, it might be in bad taste, but it wasn't against the law. Especially since I don't think Monica was the one pressing charges. It was someone else, but I forget who... Infinite Wisdom   | ||

| Anime Guru | Unfortunatly as the president he is required to set a higher standard than the regular person by haveing an affair and getting caught he not only embarassed himself he embarassed america to the international community. And if he wanted to be respected he shouldn't have lied under oath when he did that it called into question any action he had taken during his presidancy and he lost all credibility. Perjury is the act of lying or making verifiably false statements on a material matter under oath or affirmation in a court of law or in any of various sworn statements in writing. | Kaiga Shishou | I don't got a beef with people saying he was committing perjury. Perjury is attempting to deceive the law. I just think saying he was lying is debatable. There is a very fine line between lying and deceiving. It's entirely possible to deceive large groups of people with out telling an actual lie. It just depends on how you say something and your meaning and understanding of it. It's f-ing difficult, but possible. One of the reasons I like Clinton is because he was very good at it. For instance we got a Governer that raises taxes every time he is reelected he blatently tells people he will raise taxes they elect him anyway and than complain when he raises the taxes.
